Biographical Notes
Stanley Hauerwas is currently holder of the Gilbert T. Rose Professorship of Theological Ethics at Duke University Divinity School. His career, although distinguished, remained largely uncelebrated until Time Magazine declared him "America's best theologian" in 2001. After the string of interviews and television appearances that followed he became firmly established as one of America's leading voices in Christian pacifism.
Dr. Stanley Hauerwas has a B.A. from Southwestern University, USA; a B.D., M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. from Yale University, USA (1968) and a D.D. from The University of Edinburgh.
